The story of Ottolire Resort
In 1973, Michele, nicknamed Ottolire, and his wife Vita, little more than 18 years old, were enchanted by a group of dilapidated trulli. They decided to buy them and, with great sacrifice and hard work, they brought them back to life.
Michele and Vita drew on the experience of their grandfather paretaro and great-grandfather trullaro, expert craftsmen in the construction and restoration of these typical Apulian dwellings. In this special place, they raised their children Erasmo and Antonella.
The magic of staying in trulli and cummerse
Forty-five years later, Erasmo and Antonella, together with Anastasia and Angelo, have breathed new life into Ottolire, opening the doors of the casedde to evocative and unforgettable holiday experiences.
In an immense harmony of shapes and materials, amidst geometries of ancient origin, trulli, cummerse and dry-stone buildings now design a new place, where history is always present yet becomes modern to welcome the most attentive visitor.
